ARTICLE I – FUND

A.NEW MEMBER AWARDS
Award #1. This award will be based upon a ratio of new members to total renewed members as of March 31.

Award #2. This award will be based upon a count of total new members as of March 31.

2. RETENTION AWARDS

This award will be given to all chapters that meet the retention requirement established by the Director.

3. REGIONAL AWARDS

Winner(s) of regional contests will be announced and presented at Forum.

4. NEF FIRST TIMERS AWARD

A Ladder Club pin will be given to a First Timer at Annual Planning Conference and Forum. A random drawing of all First Timers in attendance will determine the recipient. $100 will be included in APC and Forum budgets to cover the cost of the pin.

5. DIRECTOR’S GIFTS

a. A gift will be given to the Director at the end of her term and will be presented at the final conference in her term. The cost of the Director’s gift is not to exceed $300.00. In the event the Region Fund does not have available funds, a request will be made to each Chapter asking for a contribution toward the gift.

b. The Director and/or Director-Elect and National Officers from the Region will be recognized in the daily bulletin at the Annual Meeting and Educational Conference.

6. ANNUAL PLANNING CONFERENCE

The Region will hold an Annual Planning Conference each year. Business pertaining to the Region may be conducted in accordance with the National Association Bylaws at APC.

7. LENGTH OF REGION MEETINGS (NUMBER OF DAYS)

The length of region meetings will be determined by the Director and the Planning Committee.

8. DIRECTOR’S ADVISORY COMMITTEE

This committee will comprise Past Region Directors. By request of the Director or Director Elect, the DAC will be available to meet at meetings of the Region. The purpose of the Committee is to offer advice and help with issues brought forward by the Director.

9. DEPOSITS AND REIMBURSABLE LOANS FOR REGIONAL MEETINGS

a. In the event a hosting chapter needs funds for deposits prior to collection of revenue for a regional meeting, the Director along with the Region Fund Guardian, has the discretion to authorize disbursements of said funds, not to exceed $1000.00, which shall be reimbursed by the hosting chapter as soon as funds become available. The hosting chapter will reimburse the Fund within 30 days following the event.

b. The Region Fund may loan funds to a chapter slated to host Annual Planning Conference or Forum. Said loans must be determined based upon the Region budget. The loan is to be reimbursed to the Region Fund within 30 days of the conclusion of the Meeting it supported. Region Fund loans shall be carried on the Meeting (APC or Forum) budget as an Asset with an offsetting Liability for repayment. The hosting chapter will reimburse the Fund within 30 days following the event.

10. These policies will be reviewed annually by the Region at Annual Planning Conference.
