"First Timers" NEF Ladder Pin

Donna Rossetti joined the Pomona Chapter of NAWIC in May 1976 and left us in June 2001. Actively involved, she served in various chapter offices many times. It was always an asset to have her on the board, as in her quiet unassuming way she could come up with solutions and suggestions to meet a goal or solve a problem. She rarely missed a chapter meeting, regional conference, forum or national convention.

Donna was a faithful supporter of the chapter Scholarship Fund and the NAWIC Education Foundation (NEF). After receiving her two (2) $5,000 ladder pins, she made sure that the Pomona Chapter had their own $5,000 ladder pin. In addition she contributed in the names of new chapter members or others who had served the chapter well and presented them with their first Ladder Club pin.

The Ladder Club of Success is one method the individual or chapter can donate to the NEF and be recognized through membership in this prestigious group. When the donor reaches $100 in contributions, a Ladder Club pin is awarded. Stones are added to the pin at preset levels of additional contribution.

A dedicated and long time member and friend, her influence and love of furthering education will be remembered by many, as NAWIC continues to expand and progress. For all these reasons, members of Region 12 voted to establish and maintain the Donna Rossetti Memorial Fund so, in keeping with Donna's "tradition", an NEF Ladder Club pin is presented to one selected "First Timer" at each of our regional conferences.
